Northampton Community College is seeking a Subject Tutor for the Learning Center. This part-time role involves tutoring students either on campus or online, focusing on personalized support to enhance their understanding of course material.
Candidates should hold an Associate degree or higher and have a solid grasp of the subjects they will tutor. Responsibilities include engaging with students, participating in professional development, and maintaining records. Previous tutoring experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Part‑time (approx. 10 to 25 hours per week). Tutors support student success by utilizing a personalized approach to help each student gain a deeper understanding of course material, devise effective learning strategies, engage in critical thinking, and acquire additional academic skills in order to help the student reach educational goals. Tutors may meet with students on an individual or small group basis on campus and/or online. Tutors are provided with College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) training and are expected to obtain certification within one year of employment. Tutors are also expected to participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development activities, promptly respond to correspondence from Learning Center staff, and maintain complete and accurate records. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Positions may vary each semester. Applicants who meet the initial review for qualifications will be placed into a pool for future consideration as positions become available.
