Job summary

McAlister's Deli in the Nashville area is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Part-Time Equipment Technician to support our restaurant locations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform light preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen and HVAC-related equipment.

This role offers flexible part-time hours and opportunities for additional work as needed, with on-call availability and a supportive management team.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment preferred
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration helpful
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working in restaurant environments

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Merrychef ovens
• Repair and maintain commercial toasters and small kitchen appliances
• Perform light preventative maintenance on: Air conditioning units, Walk-in coolers, Refrigeration equipment
• Replace minor parts (switches, fans, heating elements, belts, etc.)
• Identify issues before major breakdowns occur
• Coordinate with management when outside vendors are required
• Maintain basic service records for repairs and maintenance performed
