Job summary

Maranatha Christian Academy is seeking a Kitchen and Custodial Staff person to support the Food Services Department with administrative, custodial, and food service tasks. This hourly role runs Monday through Friday, 9:30–2:30, for 26 hours weekly, from August through the Memorial Day weekend, reporting to the Director of Facilities/Food Services Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Christ-like character and willingness to minister the Gospel.
• Experience planning, preparing, and serving menus in commercial or institutional settings.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards for commercial food handling and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen staff: Follow health department guidelines, prepare and serve food, maintain a clean work environment.
• Custodial duties: Light duty setup/teardown, building trash collection, light cleaning.
• Administrative duties: Support lunch program setup, pricing, lunch accounts, and data entry in the lunch account system.
