Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC in Phenix City, AL is hiring a part-time Retail Associate to greet customers, help with merchandise, and ring up sales using the POS system.

You will support store operations, assist the Store Manager with daily tasks, manage inventory, restock shelves, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for shoppers.

Availability includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays; prior retail or leadership experience is preferred, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries.
• Experience with cash handling and POS transactions.
• Familiarity with restocking and inventory processes.
• Ability to learn operating procedures and explain standards to team members.
• Retail or grocery experience with a willingness to support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Guide store team members on operating practices and procedures.
• Greet customers, assist with questions, and resolve inquiries.
• Engage in suggestive selling to increase basket size and promote promos.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and positive image for customers.
• Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions via POS system.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and stocking shelves; support asset protection.
