Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a part-time Help Desk Support Specialist to provide customer service support for IT users. The position requires enrollment in an Information Technology program and involves assisting users with software and hardware, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment.

The role is a part-time temporary position (20-25 hours/week) with an hourly pay rate of $19.12. Minimal travel and the ability to obtain TWIC may be required depending on assignment location.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Information Technology related program with GPA 2.75 or higher.
• Some experience in IT or Help Desk is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems required.

Responsibilities

• Assist users by phone and in person with software/hardware operation.
• Troubleshoot routine problems and install/modify/repair equipment as needed.
• Provide customer service support to users requiring technical assistance.
