Job summary

Mount Prospect Public Library is seeking a part-time IT Assistant to join the IT Department. You will respond to help desk tickets and phone inquiries, providing desktop support to staff and assisting patrons with basic technology tasks in a busy library environment.

The role requires at least one year of computer maintenance experience, with strong Windows and Office skills. Evening hours (Mon–Thu) and on-site work in Mount Prospect, IL are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of computer maintenance experience.
• Experience with help desk tickets and in-person support.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to staff and patrons.
• Diagnose computer hardware and software issues and guide users.
• Assist with printing, document formatting, and basic technology navigation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot peripherials and office equipment.
• Assist with network and cable deployments as needed.
