Comparion Insurance Agency in Augusta, ME is seeking a Part-time Insurance Sales Associate to join our local team. You will support a Comparion Insurance Sales Agent in growing the business and maintaining customer relationships within the community.

The role emphasizes listening, empathy, and in-person engagement, with licensing training provided for unlicensed candidates. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities to contribute to local sales growth.

Qualifications

• High School Degree required.
• 1-2 years of relevant sales experience preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle common objections and educate customers in a consultative manner.
• Demonstrated self-starter, motivated to learn and grow in a professional sales organization.
• Professional business acumen, strong presence and confidence.
• Resourceful team player that can contribute and accept new ideas.
• A state insurance license—or willingness to earn one with training and support—in Property & Casualty, and Life.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and initiate new business sales using consultative techniques.
• Assist in processing new business, including contacting customers to finalize sales and service transactions.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities for the Sales Agent.
• Contribute to and execute a marketing plan with the Sales Agent.
• Identify mass marketing prospects through existing book of business and community outreach.
• Meet monthly goals for new business sales.
• Complete follow-ups on new policies to maintain retention and cross-sell opportunities.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure quality customer service.
• Serve as initial contact for customer concerns regarding policy establishment and new account status.
• New hire training for unlicensed candidates including licensing materials and exam fees.
