• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality course content aligned with program outcomes.
• Facilitate meaningful interaction and feedback in online learning environments.
• Foster a supportive, student-centered classroom culture that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
• Evaluate student learning and maintain accurate records in accordance with university policies.
• Collaborate with DCS staff to ensure course quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

The Division of Continuing Studies ( DCS ) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications to establish a part-time instructor pool who may be considered for undergraduate teaching assignments as they become available. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed as instructional needs arise to support our flexible, adult learner-focused programs.

The Division of Continuing Studies empowers adult learners to achieve their academic and professional goals through flexible, high-quality programs designed for today’s workforce. Our programs emphasize applied learning, leadership, and lifelong development. The Division is home to the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies ( BMS ) and the Bachelor of Science in Applied Leadership Studies ( BSALS ) programs, as well as a range of applied learning and leadership development courses.

We seek instructors who are passionate about working with a diverse population of adult and contemporary learners and who are dedicated to a student-centered, inclusive approach to teaching. Most teaching assignments are offered in online or hybrid formats, with occasional opportunities for in-person courses.

NOTE TO APPLICANTS

This is an open, ongoing posting for temporary (per course), part-time, non-tenured teaching positions to be filled on an as-needed basis as openings become available. Part-time positions are hired via contract each semester. All offers of employment are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a background check and educational verification to ensure compliance with our accreditation standards.
