  • Advise and connect teachers, students, families, and school partners with UNO resources.
  • Develop reports and communicate program outcomes to stakeholders.

Position Summary

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator/Advisor serves as the primarycoordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences’ dual enrollmentinitiatives, supporting graduate student recruitment, advising, andsuccess of current and prospective dual enrollment teachers whilestrengthening partnerships with area school districts. The positionprovides academic advising to graduate students pursuing dualenrollment credentials, graduate certificates, and master’sdegrees, helping educators identify appropriate pathways andconnecting them with university resources throughout their academicjourney. The Coordinator/Advisor also manages the administration ofcollege dual enrollment programming, including events,scholarships, faculty outreach, assessment, and reporting, whilecoordinating recruitment and marketing efforts that promote dualenrollment opportunities to teachers, students, families, andschool partners. Working collaboratively with college faculty,university offices, and secondary teachers and administrators, thisposition advances UNO’s strategic goals, including in both A&Sand CEHHS, of expanding dual enrollment participation,strengthening the educator pipeline, and increasing studentmatriculation to the University.

Job Duties
Graduate Advising
  • Works with area school districts to recruit new cohorts andindividual graduate students.
  • Advises students through appropriate pathways for dualenrollment credentialing.
  • Advises creates continuing education plans for studentscompleting graduate certificates or master’s degrees in thecolleges of arts and sciences and/or education, health, and humansciences.
  • Provides responsive student support for teachers, connectingthem with relevant campus offices, resources, or faculty.

  • Schedules and coordinates dual enrollment events held oncampus
  • Manages college dual enrollment teacher scholarshipapplications
  • Coordinates college faculty/staff high school visits.
  • Manages requests and acquires supplies for dual enrollmentstudents and/or teachers.
  • Conducts assessments to verify effectiveness of dual enrollmentprogramming in the college and adjusts accordingly.
  • Develops and presents reports, proposals, speeches,presentations, etc. as needed or as assigned.

  • Promotes and encourages dual-enrolled students to matriculateto UNO upon high school graduation.
