Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Lab Assistant - Inpatient Phlebotomy for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, LIS use, and patient information support within the lab’s workflow.

Essential duties include collecting and processing specimens, data entry, and communication with clients and patients about specimen requirements and results. WA licensure requirements apply; bilingual skills may be advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; prior clinical lab experience preferred.
• Ability to use a laboratory information system and follow procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Collect and label specimens for testing and ensure specimen integrity.
• Perform data entry of patient demographics and tests ordered.
• Provide phlebotomy services and support lab staff with patient care.
