Job summary

PeaceHealth North County Clinic in Lynden, WA is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen handling, and LIS utilization to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, delivers, and picks up items following health and safety regulations to maintain specimen integrity.
• Collects and labels specimens for testing and documents accordingly.
• Performs data entry of patient demographics and tests ordered; processes and submits specimens.
• Receives, handles, sorts, processes, or packages specimens.
• Provides information to clients and patients about specimen requirements and test results.
• Performs waived testing as assigned and follows up on abnormal results per SOPs.
