Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for a Full Time, Day position in Eugene, Oregon. The role supports patient care by performing phlebotomy, specimen handling, LIS use, and communication with patients and staff.

The candidate will assist lab staff, deliver results, and operate lab equipment while maintaining safety and compliance. High school diploma preferred; phlebotomy training or experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred or equivalent.
• Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy training program or 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, and label specimens to ensure specimen integrity.
• Perform data entry of patient demographics and tests ordered.
• Operate laboratory equipment and LIS per SOPs.
• Provide information to clients/patients about specimen requirements and results.
• Perform waived testing as assigned and follow up on abnormal results.
