Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Lab Assistant - Inpatient Phlebotomy for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position in Washington. The salary range is $23.92 – $35.90 per hour, and the role is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

The Lab Assistant will collect and process specimens, perform data entry, and assist with patient care in a collaborative laboratory setting. WA Lic/MA‑Phlebotomy certification requirements apply. EEO statements included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, delivers, and picks up items per policy to ensure specimen integrity.
• Collects and labels specimens for testing and completes documentation.
• Performs data entry of patient demographics and tests ordered.
• Receives and handles specimens and provides information to clients and patients about specimen requirements.
• Performs waived testing as assigned and follows up on abnormal results.
