Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Parsons Branch in Columbus, OH is seeking an Information Services Specialist (20/24 hrs, Non-Exempt, Part-time) to provide excellent customer service and support adult programs and Life Skills services. You’ll assist patrons, manage collections, and partner with community resources to connect people with information and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1-3 years’ customer service experience required.
• Experience delivering programs and services to diverse audiences preferred.
• Ability to operate library technology including personal computer, email, software programs (i.e. Windows/Microsoft Office).
• Ability to utilize reliable transportation to report to job assignment per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with library services.
• Interviews, researches and answers questions by locating sources of information.
• Plans, promotes, presents or coordinates programs for adults at the location and off-site.
• Performs collection management activities under direction of the Collection Lead.
• Creates displays and merchandises materials.
• Maintains a neat, appealing location and assists life skills initiatives and community partners.
