Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s Immediate Care Center in Huntley, IL seeks a Casual Immediate Care Technician to support physicians and care teams. The role requires CMA/EMT credentials with a minimum of three shifts in six weeks and 12-hour shifts 7:45am–8:15pm. Floating to other clinics may occur.

Responsibilities include patient flow, vital signs, documentation, and procedural assistance. Requires EMT/CMA certification within specified timelines and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Within six months, complete one of the following certifications after up to two test attempts: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA.
• Certification required upon hire or within specified timeframe for EMT/paramedic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and document visit reasons, allergies, and pharmacy information.
• Support MD/APP with procedures, medication orders, and disposals of expired items.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and promote patient safety and confidentiality.
