Job summary

Sumitomo Electric USA, Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a Part-time Human Resources Generalist in our Billerica, MA office. The HR Generalist will handle payroll duties for multiple states, administer benefits, maintain HR data systems, and support onboarding, training, and employee relations at a fast-paced site.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and at least 5 years in an HR Generalist role, with ADP Vantage experience preferred.

• Minimum 5 years in a Human Resources Generalist role.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
• Familiarity with compliance and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform payroll duties for semi-monthly payrolls across multiple states; input data and verify reports.
• Administer employee benefits and COBRA, workers’ comp, FMLA, and 401(k) plans; reconcile invoices.
• Maintain HR data systems and generate reports; update HR postings.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and respond to employee questions; escalate complex issues.
• Assist with training development and company event coordination.
