Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including hands-on payroll and benefits administration.
• Knowledge of federal and Wisconsin employment laws and benefits regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).
• Experience with an HRIS and payroll system (BambooHR a plus).
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and absolute discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruiting; develop/update job descriptions with managers.
• Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll; administer health, dental, vision, supplemental, life, HSA, EAP, and 401(k) programs; annual open enrollment; COBRA notices.
• Employee Relations, Performance, and Separations: Handle employee concerns; coordinate performance reviews; manage separations and unemployment claims.
• DOT Compliance, Safety, and Training: Maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance; manage drug/alcohol testing; coordinate workers' compensation and OSHA logs.
• Policies, Records, and Systems: Develop HR policies; maintain confidential records; track HR metrics.
