Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) is seeking a Part Time Case Manager to support tenants in a permanent affordable housing program in the Bronx.

You will help tenants build independent living skills, assist with housing stability, and coordinate services under CHI’s master lease of 81 subsidized apartments. The role offers a 20-hour weekly schedule, competitive hourly pay of $24.04, and opportunities for training and professional growth while serving a mission to end poverty and expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 3+ years in supportive housing or a similar field can override education.
• Two years of experience in social work, human services, counseling or case management.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; CARES and AWARDS prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals for eligibility and enrollment in the program.
• Conduct tenant intake and needs assessments; develop ILPs for housing stability.
• Provide case management and track progress toward milestones.
• Coordinate trainings on budgeting, health, nutrition, and job skills.
• Refer tenants to community services and assist with resumes and interviews.
• Ensure timely reporting to DHS and CHI; comply with funding contracts.
