Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in the content area or related field; or a master’s degree in the content area.
• Three years of work experience in hospitality management field preferred.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning and working in a diverse college community.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with multimedia-based instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for assigned sections per policies.
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and technology.
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records and submit final grade rosters on time.
