Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Part-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for 1st Shift at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, MI. This role cleans and maintains patient care areas on hospital premises and may require vaccination and background checks.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restrooms, corridors, and common areas; incidental lifting; complying with safety policies; and providing reliable, courteous service to staff and patients. 1st shift 7:00am–3:30pm, every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• Vaccination against COVID-19 required as a condition of employment.
• Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus.
• Medical cleaning experience is a plus.
• Post-offer medical, background screening and drug test required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment between departments.
