Job summary

Amedisys Home Health seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for part-time day shifts in Pittsfield, MA. You will provide PT services under supervision of a PT and implement an approved plan of care in the home setting.

You will observe and document patient responses, coordinate with clinical staff, and promote wellness and prevention. The role offers competitive pay and benefits; PTA license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduated from an accredited PTA program (CAPTE).
• Minimum one year PTA experience in home health preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist and per plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and physicians.
• Promotes wellness and preventive resources for future needs.
• Documents supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Monitors patient response to PT intervention and progress.
• Participates in care conferences, in-services, audits, and quality activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care with other providers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
