Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Massachusetts. This full-time, weekday position provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT within patient homes.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, documenting results, and coordinating with the care team. Compensation ranges from $40.00 to $47.25 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and support for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant (state-specific).
• Graduation from an CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of PT experience in home health preferred; mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services under supervision of a PT per plan of care.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to PT and clinical staff.
• Document supervisory activities in medical records and ensure confidentiality.
• Coordinate follow-up care with agency and other care providers.
• Participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
