Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is hiring a Paraeducator Head Start for a part-time role. You will work 20 hours per week across 176 operating days, assisting with classroom setup and delivering individualized activities to support preschoolers in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement lesson plans, support parents, and participate in child screenings and daily routines, all while adhering to Head Start, licensing, and WCFD policies.

Qualifications

• Must work effectively with children aged 3–5, including those with special needs.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with materials and classroom setup.
• Provide individualized care and educational activities to support school readiness.
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff in various settings.
• Communicate with staff, children, and families in a positive manner.
• Help organize group socialization activities for children and families.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Support IFSP and IEP goals with teachers and family providers.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized classroom environments.
• Perform minor first aid and routine hygienic care.
