Job summary

Boston Beer Company is seeking a part-time Host to warmly welcome guests, coordinate seating, and assist with merchandise displays. You will engage with guests, answer questions about the location and products, and help ensure a smooth guest flow throughout the venue.

The role involves greeting guests, directing seating, and daily reservation tracking, with opportunities to upsell merchandise. A friendly, presentable demeanor and reliable, on-site availability are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Up to one year of related experience or training desired.
• Walking regularly throughout the establishment and ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Address compliments or complaints and relay information to management.
• Maintain appearance suitable to guests' expectations and company policy.
• Greet guests, identify seating plan, direct to bar or tables, set up displays and merchandise to promote sales.
• Track reservations or private events daily.
• Communicate with staff and managers regarding business situations and requests.
• Suggestively sell merchandise and wrap or bag items.
• Clean shelves, host stand area, surrounding tables, and merchandise areas.
• Maintain the wait list.
