Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Cambridge seeks a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage reservations, and seat guests with warm efficiency at our boutique hotel venue.

You will greet guests, handle calls, coordinate seating, take any room service orders if applicable, and support servers while ensuring impeccable hospitality. Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of POS and reservation systems; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet all restaurant guests and provide information about the area.
• Provide fair and consistent seating of guests.
• Accurately handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand.
• Receive incoming calls and accurately book reservations for guests.
• Take room service orders if applicable.
• Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness; assist in bussing tables.
• Help servers by refilling beverages when needed.
• Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests for guests.
• We all wear multiple hats here at Kimpton; you may take on responsibilities outside of this job description.
