Job summary

Minneapolis Bouldering Project, LLC is hiring an Operations Specialist to warmly greet guests, support front desk operations, maintain a clean, safe facility, and model inclusive, human-centered service for climbers and community members.

You will help with memberships, events, birthday parties, and gym programs, assist with group check-ins, and ensure a welcoming culture. This part-time, hourly role may require evenings, weekends, and occasional shifts outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or cashiering experience preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excitement about working in a climbing, fitness, and community environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient guests and new climbers, introducing them to the space and rules.
• Facilitate facility orientations with warmth and intention.
• Support customers with questions about memberships, products, events, and services.
• Process purchases, returns, and account updates at the register.
• Respond to and resolve customer concerns, escalating when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized gym including lobby and retail areas.
• Restock retail items and supplies following standards.
• Follow opening and closing cleaning checklists and daily tasks.
• Organize and label lost and found, reporting items as needed.
• Facilitate check-in and orientation for groups, events, and participants.
• Assist with fitness and yoga class transitions or room readiness as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate to uphold our values.
