Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty, while supporting shortage reduction programs and training for associates. The role requires a presentational, energetic approach, strong awareness of surroundings, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits to reduce theft and maintain safety.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident greeting and engage with both customers and associates.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to management on duty.
• Support in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
