Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances, engage customers with a confident greeting, and support leadership in reducing theft opportunities. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and communicate effectively with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Confidentiality required.
• Able to review, analyze and understand business trends.
• Energetic greeting and positive demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and associates with a confident, friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to Managers on Duty.
• Support store leadership with shortage reduction programs and training.
• Create a secure environment through professional presence and awareness.
