Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS for the Healthcare Provider certification or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Professional presence with honesty, integrity, and caring aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and visitors to ensure efficient admitting.
• Answer phone calls and route them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain and verify patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductibles.
• Enter demographics, insurance, and other details into the EMR and related systems.
• Determine and collect time of service payments and/or past due balances at the time of appointment.
