Responsibilities

• Obtain and enter new patient demographics into the system and update billing information.
• Collect insurance information and verify benefits as required by office policies.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations for services as needed.
• Collect co-pays and balances per office policies.
• Review forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Schedule patient appointments at checkout and manage front desk duties.
• Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean and orderly waiting area and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist the Director and Practice Manager with additional tasks.
