• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience working with the public.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfort with a multi-line telephone system.
• Good health; PPD screening required.
• Interest in people, especially the geriatric population.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication with all staff and visitors.
• Willing to perform non-professional duties.
• Calm under emergency situations.
• Cooperative and enthusiastic.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Receive guests and visitors and have them sign in.
• Assist visitors in finding resident rooms.
• Answer phones, take messages, and transfer calls.
• Announce appointments to staff.
• Type memos and documents as requested.
• Sort mail and distribute to proper boxes.
• Create a warm, personal atmosphere.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Be knowledgeable about community services and rates.
• Assemble and maintain information packets.
• Keep front desk and lobby neat and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Attend to other duties as needed.
