Hotel Shattuck Plaza in downtown Berkeley seeks a Part-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to support daytime front desk operations and overnight audit coverage. Flexibility to work morning, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.

At Hotel Shattuck Plaza, every guest interaction is an opportunity to create a welcoming and memorable stay. Located in downtown Berkeley, our historic hotel is looking for a friendly, dependable Part-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to join our team.
This position supports both daytime Front Desk operations and overnight Night Audit coverage. Flexibility to work a combination of morning, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
Provide attentive guest service while helping keep Front Desk operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly.
Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out.
Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism and care.
Provide information about hotel amenities, dining, transportation, and local attractions.
Answer calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries.
Manage room assignments, guest accounts, payments, and folios accurately.
Process reservations, room requests, and changes.
Communicate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to coordinate guest needs.
Maintain clear shift notes and communicate outstanding items to the next shift.
Review and reconcile daily transactions, guest accounts, and charges.
Complete the nightly audit, prepare reports, and follow procedures to close the business day.
Assist with late arrivals, early departures, and overnight guest requests.
Follow hotel safety and emergency procedures and communicate concerns to the appropriate contact.
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, pays attention to details, and can work independently while supporting the team.
Previous hotel Front Desk, guest service, or Night Audit experience preferred.
Familiarity with hotel property management systems and basic computer applications.
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Comfort working with numbers, reviewing transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
Part-time position with scheduling based on hotel needs.
Flexibility to work morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
Availability on weekends and holidays.
