Job summary

Hotel Shattuck Plaza in downtown Berkeley seeks a Part-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to support daytime front desk operations and overnight audit coverage. Flexibility to work morning, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, guest inquiries, reservations, and coordinating with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel front desk operations or night audit.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and basic computer apps.
• Strong communication, organization and customer service skills.
• Comfort working with numbers, reviewing transactions and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out guests, assist with reservations and inquiries.
• Answer calls and provide information about amenities, dining, transportation and local attractions.
• Manage room assignments, guest accounts, payments and folios accurately.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Review nightly transactions and complete the night audit, with reports and end-of-day procedures.
