Theameswellhotel in Mountain View, California is seeking a Night Auditor to maintain accurate nightly financials and guest folios while serving guests at the Front Desk during overnight hours.

You will reconcile transactions, monitor room revenue and occupancy, and post charges to guest accounts with precision, providing a calm, guest‑focused presence throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to write, read, count, and file with precision.
• Comfortable operating basic office equipment and property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles front office accounting records daily and compiles the hotel's financial summary.
• Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.
• Prepares a daily summary of cash, check, and credit card activity reflecting the hotel's financial performance.
• Posts room charges, taxes, and guest transactions accurately to guest accounts.
• Verifies that all front desk transactions are properly documented and posted to the PMS.
• Confirms charges from POS and spa systems reach the correct guest folios without gaps.
• Verifies account postings, balances, and room rates for accuracy.
• Assists guests in person and by phone throughout the shift, before arrival and after departure, using guest names whenever possible.
• Coordinates check-ins, check-outs, luggage, and transportation requests as needed overnight.
• Maintains knowledge of local car service options and arranges transportation for guests as needed.
• Performs other duties as required to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Description

As our Night Auditor, you'll be the calm, steady hand that keeps the hotel's financials in order while most of Silicon Valley sleeps. You'll reconcile the day's transactions, track room revenue and occupancy, and make sure every guest folio is accurate down to the penny — all while stepping in as a warm, capable presence at the Front Desk overnight.
