Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Some experience in kitchen work.
• Skilled in reading, writing, and simple math.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.

Physical Demands

• Will lift food items up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods during food preparation.
• Driving as needed to perform job tasks.

Trust and Security

Position of trust. No financial resources. No P‑Card. Direct interaction with children under 18. No security access.

Responsibilities

• Serve food at the dining hall; set up buffet lines and serve individual plates; interact with customers from young children to senior citizens. (35%)
• Clean and sanitize the work area, operate a commercial dishwasher; clean chairs, tables, and service lines; sweep and mop floors; clean windows, baseboards, blinds, walkways and walls of food service building. (35%)
• Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food; assist with preparation of menu items. (20%)
• Other tasks as assigned. (10%)
