Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Part-Time Fleet Manager to oversee daily fleet operations, maintenance, and compliance from the Operations building in Coatesville, PA. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving for efficiency and safety.

The position supports fleet lifecycle, driver coordination, and on-call emergencies, with a salary range of $25.19–$31.49 per hour for 2026-2027.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Two years of courier experience preferred.
Experience with fleet management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance with third-party vendors.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to transportation laws and safety regulations (DOT incl.).
Documentation & Records: Maintain records of servicing, inspections, and fuel usage.
Cost & Efficiency Management: Monitor fuel use and fleet expenses to improve efficiency.
Driver Coordination: Assist with driver schedules and training.
Vehicle Lifecycle: Support acquisition and disposal, including lease vs. buy decisions.
Emergency Response: Be available for on-call fleet emergencies as needed.
