The Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Part-Time Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet's daily operations, maintenance, and compliance. This role focuses on safety, efficiency, and records using fleet software, with collaboration across operations and vendors.

The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and at least two years of courier experience, with preference for fleet-management familiarity. This on-site position is based in Coatesville, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Two years of courier experience preferred.
• Experience with fleet management and fleet management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and repairs with third-party vendors.
• Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations (DOT).
• Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing, inspections, maintenance, and fuel usage using fleet management software.
• Monitor fuel usage and fleet expenses to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with driver schedules and training as needed.
• Support vehicle acquisition and disposal decisions and lease vs. buy analyses.
• Be available for occasional on-call duties to address fleet-related emergencies.
