Job summary

Futures Inc. is seeking a Fleet Coordinator in West Hartford, CT to oversee the safe, compliant operation of a 40+ vehicle fleet. This part-time, non-exempt role requires coordinating daily vehicle maintenance and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position involves maintaining records, GPS monitoring, safety logs, and coordinating inspections, with vendor management and budgeting support. A CT driver license is required, and 20–25 hours per week are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years fleet or transportation experience.
• Valid Connecticut driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance coordination of 40+ vehicles.
• Schedule inspections, registrations and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain fleet records, GPS monitoring and safety logs.
• Manage vendors and repair coordination.
• Support budgeting and vehicle replacement planning.
• Inspect all vehicles weekly, in all locations.
• Coordinate driver safety training initiatives.
• Ensure CT DMV, DOT and insurance compliance.

Fleet CoordinatorReports To: VP of Compliance and OperationsPosition Purpose:Responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant and cost-effective operation of the organization fleet of 40+ vehicles.Employment Details:Status: Part-Time, Non-ExemptHours: 20–25 hours per weekSalary: $25.00/hourFleet Management & Maintenance:Oversee daily operation and maintenance coordination of 40+ vehicles.Schedule inspections, registrations and preventive maintenance.Maintain fleet records, GPS monitoring and safety logs.Manage vendors and repair coordination.Support budgeting and vehicle replacement planning.Inspection of all vehicles weekly, in all locations.Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with Connecticut DMV, DOT and insurance requirements.Monitor vehicle safety systems and address violations.Ensure student transportation vehicles meet V-Endorsement requirements and safety standards.Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.Coordinate driver safety training initiatives.Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.Minimum 3 years fleet or transportation experience.Strong organizational and communication skills.Valid Connecticut driver license required.
