Job summary

Candidate Experience site is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager for Berks County. The role administers the County Fleet program, employee parking and supports Facilities Operations, requiring leadership and meticulous organization.

You will oversee vehicle acquisition, maintenance programs, budgeting, CMMS input, and coordination with departments. The position travels throughout Berks County and participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Experience supervising a team or department.
• Knowledge of fleet management and procurement processes.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle acquisition, replacement, upfitting, licensing, registrations, and maintenance programs.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and analyze operating costs across County fleet.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inventory and support CMMS data entry.
• Coordinate annual vehicle acquisitions and convert requests into procurement specs.
• Serve as liaison with internal/external customers and coordinate county vehicle rental.
• Assist in Fleet budget development and monitor expenditures to stay within budget.
