Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a part-time Courier to handle distribution of materials and equipment across Chester County and beyond. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

You will operate courier software, maintain logs, and support operations from the Administrative Services Division. The position schedules 2 days per week at 5.5 hours per day, with a rate of $16.51–$17.37 per hour, and may involve

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required.
• Knowledge of Chester County Area is preferred.
• Experience with shipping/receiving is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs as needed.
• Experience with or ability to learn necessary computer and software skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials and equipment to/from assigned locations (mail, catalogs, books, packages, office supplies, furniture, food, bank deposits, tech gear).
• Organize materials and load the vehicle at pick-up sites.
• Deliver items to daily destinations and return items to ESC; unload and sort mail at the Intermediate Unit.
• Pick up money for the Business Office and return bank bags as required.
• Pick up mail and deliver to the post office as required.
• Load/unload varying sizes and weights; operate within safety guidelines.
• Maintain courier vehicle condition with routine inspections and maintenance.
• Use cell phone apps, interoffice email, and courier software; attend meetings as required.
• Keep data logs/records; perform miscellaneous duties including event setup/teardown when needed.
