Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Part-time Training Services First Aid & CPR Instructor to support programs across Central and Eastern Massachusetts, including Boston, Norwood, and Worcester. Travel within the service area is required and relocation assistance is not offered.

The role focuses on high-quality instruction, timely reporting, and proper equipment maintenance within a flexible schedule of 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, 20–35 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent; instructor certification is provided after hire.
• 1 year of related experience preferred; teaching or training background is a plus.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; customer-focused.
• Ability to teach adults and manage class dynamics effectively.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Red Cross Training Services courses to groups at various sites.
• Maintain and transport classroom equipment; manage inventory and re-order supplies monthly.
• Ensure quality and consistency of training; report issues to leadership as required.
• Adhere to registration policies; manage student registrations and attendance.
• Follow scheduling and reporting processes; use Red Cross systems and email.
• Support additional duties such as meetings and development training.
