Job summary

West Texas A&M University is seeking a part-time Field Supervisor to observe teacher candidates and provide coaching feedback aligned with TEA/T-TESS requirements. The FS will conduct formal and informal observations, complete detailed write-ups, and coordinate with school districts and WTAMU’s Educator Preparation Program.

The role requires TEA-approved training, travel within a 100-mile radius, and managing 8–14 candidates per semester while earning $30.00 hourly during Fall and Spring terms

Qualifications

• Valid certification in the supervision class
• Hired by the educator preparation program (EPP)
• Must complete the WTAMU HR paperwork
• Must have three years of creditable experience
• Participates in TEA-approved T-TESS Field Supervisor Observation training
• Or provide a TEA T-TESS appraiser training certificate
• Or hold an active T-TESS appraiser training certificate (three-day)

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal observations (minimum 45 minutes) with preconference and post-conference
• Conduct informal walkthrough observations (about 15 minutes) with feedback
• Provide written evaluation feedback to candidates, mentor, and administrator
• Travel within a 100-mile radius and track mileage reimbursements
• Maintain documentation of observations and time credits in WT workday system
• Assist with EPP and TEA training compliance and records
