Job summary

Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking part-time Field Supervisors to be appointed per semester in Education (EdD, Curriculum, and Instruction). The pool supports fall 2026, spring 2027 and summer 2027 with flexible term assignments.

Essential duties include observing clinical teachers, providing feedback, and maintaining documentation. Requirements include a Master’s degree and a Texas educator certificate; teaching experience in PK-12 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Education.
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Texas Standard Educator Certificate in the relevant category/grade band.
• Minimum of three (3) years of PK-12 teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct required formal and informal observations of clinical teachers in field placements.
• Maintain regular professional communication with clinical teachers and cooperating teachers.
• Monitor progress and mastery of professional competencies.
• Provide targeted verbal and written feedback to support professional growth.
• Submit supervisory documentation and final evaluation ratings on deadlines.
• Collaborate to address placement concerns with program staff.

Education

Master’s degree in an applicable field

Master's degree in Education preferred

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution

Texas Standard Educator Certificate in relevant category/grade band

3 years PK-12 classroom teaching experience
