Job summary

The Elementary Education Field Supervisor serves as a vital link between PK-12 schools and the UW, fostering clear communication among cooperating teachers, student teachers, and school administrations. Supervisors provide support and coaching to student and cooperating teachers to create a productive field experience for pre-service teachers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience teaching in a P-9 setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with learner-centered approaches and evidence-based teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Observation/Coaching Cycles and Triad Meetings with assigned pre-service and cooperating teachers.
• Provide individual student support and evaluation and maintain record-keeping documents.
• Collaborate with Field Cohort team and co-facilitate/attend seminars.
• Connect and build and maintain relationships with assigned schools and communities.

Skills

Teaching experience in K-12/P-9

Interpersonal and communication skills

Evidence-based teaching practices

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field

Master’s degree preferred
