The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey seeks a part-time Navigator in Trenton, NJ to guide families through paid family leave programs. The role focuses on mothers and children, leveraging lived experience to connect participants with required services and benefits.

Responsibilities include education on TDI/FLI, helping with applications, and coordinating with staff across health, family support, and community services.

Qualifications

• Must know Trenton community resources and benefits programs.
• Willing to participate in developing Navigator training materials.
• Comfort with text, phone, and video conferencing.

Responsabilités

• Assist families in navigating paid family leave benefits and complete applications.
• Coordinate with CHS NJ staff to support families.
• Support group programming and family engagement, in person or virtual.
• Establish connections with DOL claims examiners and community members.
• Track and monitor participants' access to services with the evaluation team.
• Follow guidelines to move from referrals to linkages and applications.
• Serve a minimum of 2-3 clients per week.
