Attendance, communication with volunteers, and coordination with teachers are essential parts of the role. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and are committed to LifeWise beliefs.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
