Job summary

University of Central Florida in Orlando is seeking a Part-time Work Control Dispatcher I to respond promptly to requests from customers and staff, including emergencies, while representing University Operations.

You will process, prioritize, and dispatch work orders across main and branch buildings, monitor critical systems, and support after-hours operations with a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Experience in high-volume operations or facilities environment preferred.
• Strong command of conversational English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process, prioritize, validate, and distribute incoming work requests.
• Dispatch work to zones across the entire FBO using SOPs.
• Monitor chiller plants and servers; respond to alarms per SOPs.
• Act as initial after-hours advocate for safety and coordination.
• Update IWMS work orders for permanent history.
• Handle after-hours messages and RFIs.
