Job summary

Rent Responsibly is seeking an Executive Director/Operations Manager (part-time, NY-based, remote) to support ESPOA in revenue growth, member engagement, and advocacy. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution and reports to Rent Responsibly’s Director of Alliance Operations and the ESPOA board.

Ideal candidates are based in New York, have at least 2 years in nonprofit leadership or operations, and are comfortable with Slack, Google Workspace, HubSpot, and Hivebrite.

Qualifications

• You are based in New York and have executive director or similar nonprofit leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years in nonprofit or volunteer-based leadership, operations, or project management.
• Polished, kind, clear communication across platforms, especially social media.
• Track record of growing and retaining membership and generating revenue.
• Able to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth, member engagement, events, sponsorships, and advocacy initiatives.
• Oversee operations, communications, inbox and project management for ESPOA.
• Liaise with Rent Responsibly’s association support team and ESPOA board.
• Coordinate newsletters, alerts, event promotion, and member benefits.
• Monitor local policy developments and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.
