The Executive Director or Operations Manager (title dependent upon experience) will support our client, the Empire State Property Owners Association, to lead its revenue growth, member engagement, operations, and advocacy initiatives. This part-time role is ideal for a self-managed go-getter who can balance ambition and creativity with hands-on execution.
About the Empire State Property Owners Association
Empire State Property Owners Association (ESPOA) is a newly formed statewide organization dedicated to protecting property rights and advocating for fair, balanced short-term rental policies across New York. Founded in response to the growing need for coordinated statewide representation, ESPOA is working to bring property owners together around a shared mission of responsible advocacy, education, and collaboration. As the organization grows, it is committed to building a strong, unified voice that supports both New York property owners and the communities they serve.
ESPOA is led by a thoughtful, professional board that believes effective advocacy starts with being prepared. Strategic and detail-oriented, they take the time to understand complex issues, do the homework, and approach every conversation with credibility and purpose. As they lay the foundation for the organization, the board is focused on building relationships, advancing practical solutions, and creating a respected voice that will serve New York’s short-term rental community for years to come.
This role starts part-time with the potential to expand based on the organization’s growth.

Rent Responsibly is a 100% remote team. We collaborate daily through Slack and Google Workspace. We don’t measure our days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but through productivity and execution. Our teammates must be self-directed and have (or be able to create) the ideal remote work environment for themselves.
We are a small but nimble and enthusiastic team, so those who are willing to jump in with both feet on team projects, wear multiple hats, and then switch those hats on the fly will be happiest here. We invest in our teammates’ growth, too, including professional development resources and opportunities to take on higher roles as the company grows.
We believe in tables where everyone has a seat and a voice. That starts with us.
Rent Responsibly is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace, and we encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. Your race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression do not matter to us; only your merit, passion, and kindness do.
