Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a dependable Job Coach / Employment Specialist to provide individualized employment support to people with disabilities in Front Royal and surrounding communities. The role focuses on evenings and weekends, with a schedule around 3:30 pm–10:30 pm and about 20 hours weekly.

You will coach participants at community and employer worksites, helping them learn tasks, reinforce workplace routines, and assist with transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Evening and weekend availability required.
• Reliable attendance and ability to meet schedules.
• Local travel and ability to transport participants when required.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Patience and ability to teach in clear, manageable steps.
• Work independently in community and workplace settings.
• Basic computer skills and timely electronic documentation.
• Able to satisfy background-screening and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching at community employer worksites.
• Help participants learn and perform assigned job duties.
• Teach workplace routines, safety procedures, time management, and employer expectations.
• Reinforce professional communication and behavior.
• Help participants communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Encourage independence without doing participants' work for them.
• Identify and develop natural workplace supports.
• Monitor progress and adjust support as needed.
• Assist with transportation per service plans.
• Complete progress notes and electronic documentation.
• Communicate schedule changes and safety concerns to RISe management.
• Participate in required training and service-planning activities.
